Terms of Service

The following terms and conditions cover all aspects of trade between the Customer and London Gold Centre.

Standard Terms of Service

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. London Gold Centre cannot be held responsible for any incorrect information provided by the customer that may affect the normal processing and delivery of goods and services.

General Requirements

By posting goods to London Gold Centre, each customer agrees to abide by the Terms of Service contained within this document.

All customers must be at least 18 years of age and be the legal owner of the items they are wishing to sell. In addition, the customer must guarantee that they have not acquired the goods through any other illegal means. The customer should also ensure that any transaction they initiate will not cause  to be in breach of British or international law. This includes anti-money laundering regulations, anti-terrorism laws and all other applicable laws of any country.

At ’s request, the customer will provide documentation that proves that the above requirements are true. If the customer is unable or unwilling to do this,  reserves the right to return any goods to the customer and charge an appropriate administration fee.

Right to Cancellation

Customers have the right to cancel the sale of their goods at any time to the point at which London Gold Centre dispatch payment to the customer. Once payment has been sent we can no longer accept return requests. Cancellation must be made in writing either by email or post and quoting your unique London Gold Centre reference number. Goods can only be returned to the senders original address.  reserve the right to charge a return postage fee on your package to cover the cost of postage and any insurance levied on the package by Royal Mail or our appointed courier. London Gold Centre only return items using a recorded delivery service and take no responsibility for the loss or damage to items whilst in transit. Returns are dispatched within 5 working days.


Check our scrap gold prices chart for our live gold price.  use the twice daily London Gold Fix to accurately track the market.  pay the displayed ‘You Receive’ price indicated against the purity of your metals on the date we receive your package. We cannot guarantee price fluctuation between your initial enquiry and receipt of your goods.

Weights & Measures

 use high accuracy digital scales to weigh all jewellery and scrap gold, and we assess each individual item. Customer provided weights and measures are not accepted. Gold, silver, platinum and palladium content is measured in grams and does not include any non gold, silver, platinum or palladium fixtures such as precious stones, clasps, or components made from other alloys.


We accept no responsibility for the loss or damage of goods whilst in transit to . Customers must ensure all packages are well wrapped and all address labels clearly visible. Our recommended delivery service is Royal Mail Insured Special Delivery which provides tracking data and will not deliver your parcel elsewhere during times when our office is closed. Alternative delivery providers may deliver your parcel to nearby premises and therefore we do not recommend their use.  accept no responsibility for the delay in delivery of your package or the resulting payment, dispatch of your cheque or returned package.


Payment is made within 72 hours of receipt of your goods. All payments are made by bank transfer or cheque payable to the name submitted to  on the initial submission form. cannot issue a return of goods once a bank transfer or cheque has been actioned. Cheques are dispatched to the address as supplied in the original enquiry form only. Please allow 5 working days from email notification for your cheque to arrive, missing cheques must be reported to Scrap Gold within 28 days.

Private Information

 never share private user information or contact details with any third party and endeavour to ensure all customer data is kept secure.
